Set aside time to unwind in the eucalyptus-infused steam room – designed to benefit breathing and improve circulation – or soak in the relaxation pool while appreciating the exquisite features of the seashell chandeliers and Tree of Life Mural.

Afterwards, trek down to the lower ground floor of the castle for dinner at The Dungeon. The dramatic, red-walled room, historic curved stone ceiling and medieval décor set the tone for a traditional Irish meal. It’s a true five-star experience.

Day Two: Begin the day with a history cruise on Lough Corrib, on which Ashford Castle resides. Following the cruise, explore the tranquil property via private horse-and-carriage. The graceful sounds of the resident pianist further enhance the atmosphere. Appreciate exceptional dishes from the kitchen of acclaimed Chef Philippe Farineau, recently awarded two rosettes by the AA Hospitality Awards, complemented by a fine section of wines from Chief Sommelier Robert Bowe.
