We wanted to thank you for planning such a wonderful trip for the Watson party. The accommodations, restaurants and activities were all excellent. It was a flawless itinerary. So nice to have it all organised and just follow along.

We paid for our rental car through Enterprise. I am assuming the cheque never made it to your office so I am going to go ahead and put a stop payment on it unless you have received it and can tear it up.

The car and the service from Enterprise was excellent. The car return at the airport was within walking distance of the Hilton. It was so easy and stress free. In the morning we were at the airport and through security within 20 minutes!

I've been swamped in business and personal matters since I returned, so forgive me for taking so long to get back in touch and expressing my thanks to you and Carr Golf for arranging such an exciting, fun-filled, memorable (and humbling) golfing experience. It was a trip of a lifetime and one we will never forget.

I received your calls checking on us, but we were playing 36 and 27 holes a day, and I didn't want to call you back in the late evening after we had finished our single malts. We added courses (Eden, The Dukes, and Jubilee), and maxed out our golfing. Gleneagles was gorgeous and tough, and Kingsbarns was beautiful and exceptionally difficult. The Old Course was everything we anticipated and more, and Carnoustie was a real challenge to a bunch of hackers.

Ian did a great job of getting us where we needed to be, and added a lot of local knowledge and color to the whole experience. Our group is in the picture below (brother David, Tommy, Vic and me in the knickers--from left to right).Thanks again for the scheduling, coordination and continual follow-up! We had a grand and glorious time!

We all wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our trip. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. We want to thank you and all your staff for your patience with us along the way in planning our trip. All our accommodations were great.

It is hard to explain to people how breathtaking many of the sites are and all the history of your country is so amazing. It is impossible to capture them all because there are so many. But I must confess we tried real hard, because we have close to 4,500 photos.

But the person who made our trip such a success was MR. Tim Cotter. He was not our driver but rather our history teacher. He was so wonderful to us in working with us to make our trip so enjoyable. He knows so much history about your beautiful country.

I wanted to drop you a line to thank you and your team for a great trip and all the help in between. This has been my most “eventful” of my 4-5 Carr trips with the gale force winds, volcanic ashe, comings/goings of my travelers… so thanks for all the great help.

I wanted to follow-up on a couple of things.

First, thanks for tracking down the trophy (although very silly, you will see in the attached photo at Muirfield that it becomes a big part of our annual trip). I wanted to see if there were any VAT or Post charges for the additional shipments so I can track them down and get refunded by US Postal Service.

Second, was there any word from Carnoustie on credits for that round? The guys were asking me.

A wondeful note following a memorable visit to the Old Head in Memory....

March 2011

Gentlemen,

Thank you all again very much for allowing us to walk Old Head on Sunday.

We arrived early afternoon. Noel was very gracious in welcoming us. There was sunshine with a bit of mist over the lighthouse. After a bit of walking on the front nine, my wife asked my two nephews (who also played the round in 2004 with their father) where would be a good spot to say a little prayer. The boys chose where the 11th & 14th greens and 12th & 15th tees converged. As we walked over there, the boys recounted how their father had played the back nine quite well, except for 12 where he put several balls in the drink (and, left to his own devices, would have put his clubs and caddie - whom he blamed for giving him the wrong angle - into the drink also). As we walked green to tee up 15 towards the 15th & 12th tees, a rainbow appeared, landing in the sea in the spot where my brother-in-law had hit is first drive on 12.

As John will tell you, I am a heathen, so I was definitely impressed. Even my wife, who is a person of great faith was truly impressed as her brother had come back to say good-bye. There was much crying and much laughing in what turned out to be a truly magical moment.

Again, we cannot thank you enough for allowing us to spend a special afternoon on your little piece of heaven.

Hi Mark,

Just a quick note to thank you for our trip last week. The accommodation couldn’t have been better and we found the staff at Dunas Douradas to be very helpful and pleasant. Our only problem was the weather which was a bit more like Irish weather than Portuguese! Great golf courses too, particularly the QDL South Course which we all found stunning even though it rained on that day.

Hi Sarah!

I think alot of times we only hear the WORST from people but I just received a note from my clients, Mr.and Mrs. Kenneth Keune and they had a wonderful time!!!! They became pros at the tube and busses and even took a train after a wrong bus trip in London. They LOVED Ireland and the transportation that you helped to arrange, worked out very well, and they would highly recommend their driver, Joe O'Leary!!!! He did a terrific job for them!

Our group had a wonderful time. Your service and patience was much appreciated. You were very cheerful and professional through the whole process.
Our driver/guide (Martin Hayes) was a delight. Very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating of our needs.
The Vaughn Lodge was very good. Service was first rate. Food very good. They exceeded our expectation.The Killarney Park was also a great experience. The staff, rooms, service and food was worthy of their five star rating.
The Trident was not up to the high standards of our first two hotels. Kinsale was a treat, and the setting was beautiful.
The golf was great. Every course worth the trip by itself . Our friends all felt like the experience exceeded their expectations.

Peter was great - pleasant, informative, accommodating and accessible as needed. Whoever is responsible for the weather, gave us a treat we'll never forget - after day 1 we had 6 days of perfect golf weather. The golf was splendid. Old Head, Tralee, Waterville, Doonbeg and Lahinch were memorable. Playing Old Head (in soft rain and fog and then in brilliant sunshine) and Doonbeg twice was a stroke of genius. We could have easily played Tralee and Waterville twice. In terms of facilities, Doonbeg was in the Lodge at Pebble Beach class - at the top! Stunning. The same for Old Head. Killarney Park worked great because it was in Killarney and allowed us to visit Pubs and eat at different venues! So it was great trip. Your company was excellent. Peter smoothed out any rough spots without our knowledge!!!! Well done to Carr Golf Travel. Thanks and we'd be happy to vouch for Carr Golf Travel and serve as a reference. Again thanks -

To recap, I was the planner for a very senior level Citigroup Outing in Inverness, Scotland and had the opportunity to work with Carr Golf Travel. During this week, clients, guests and Citigroup Directors played golf, participated in a variety of local activities and enjoyed the Scottish culture.

It was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end, and we must immediately give credit not only to your interest and good planning, but to John Clifford who really insured a wonderful experience for all of us. John was always on time, always made correct suggestions about allocation of time, places of interest, restaurants, history and understanding of Ireland, and was generally good company. As for his interest in making sure that the women had a good time, again John was superb - going out of his way and driving hours extra just so that we might have a bit more time in a particular city. The trip was first rate right from following up my initial inquiry until we departed. The work that was also done with the emergency departure of one of our group was also great, so thank you very much. For the lateness and number of changes that we had Sean go through for our group, right up to missing our first flight, I’m surprised he still wanted to deal with us and didn’t send us packing with a road map and fistful of bus transfers! A fantastic job. Not too sure what Peter was expecting for our group but he sure did a marvelous job of putting up with us and accommodating our many idiosyncrasies. Always having to be on call and then also the amount of driving that our itinerary involved we were grateful to have Peter with us.
