Review
Set in picturesque landscape with natural and beautiful surroundings, this grand hacienda style building encloses several patios and courtyards, with cloister-style passageways off which all the rooms are located. The interior of the hotel is decorated in an elegantly rustic style and the guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, all with beautiful views overlooking orange groves, olive and lemon trees and a large artificial lake.
The hotel's d?cor is composed of warm colours and includes a combination of tapestries and classic furniture that serve to create an exclusive and elegant atmosphere. All 120 rooms and suites are air conditioned and the bathrooms are fully equipped with hair dryer and bath/towelling robes. Satellite television, telephone, mini-bar, safe and internet access are among the range of facilities offered in the rooms and non-smoking rooms are also available. For an unforgettable dining experience, sample the excellent food served with traditional Spanish cutlery and linens in the spacious dining area of the Molino Blanco restaurant, located within the hotel. Dishes served under the instruction of top chef Mikel Uria include traditional Basque and International cuisine.
The hotel's friendly service is faultless and guests can enjoy a visit to the private coach-house, the Guadarn?s carriages museum located on the grounds of the hotel, which features a collection of carriages, one of which belonged to the British royal family. The hotel also has its very own horse stables and offers horse-back excursions that take guests through the rural landscape areas of Vega de Alcal?. The horse-training exhibitions on show in the grounds of the hotel are a popular form of entertainment among the guests.
