Review
The Hotel Puente Romano is located on a superb beachfront property in the heart of Marbella's famous "Golden Mile" on the Costa del Sol and has been voted one of Spain's top hotels. Constructed in the style of an Andaluc?an villa the 234 room hotel is set in 11 acres of relaxing subtropical oasis of fountains, waterfalls and mature gardens of flowers, rare plants and trees gently cascading down to the Mediterranean Sea. Conceived for residential use, the property was converted to hotel usage on completion in 1979. As a result, the guest accommodation is extremely spacious. The heart of the hotel and its social focus is the Roman Bridge -Puente Romano- from which the hotel takes its name. This ancient artefact is the only remaining structure of a road which once linked Cadiz with Rome.

Hotel Puente Romano's guest accommodation is comprised of 27 separate three-storey buildings facing the sun. Rooms are wonderfully spacious and all have either a living room or what the hotel calls a 'conversation area' designed in an elegant, modern style that echoes the traditional Andaluc?an style. Marble bathrooms are a common feature as is air conditioning, electronic safes, mini bar and satellite TV. To top off the luxury, rooms and suites are fronted by private terraces which overlook swimming pools, exotic flora and fauna, waterfalls and, of course, the Mediterranean Sea. Suites are fitted with acclimatised bathroom floors to provide a comfortable atmosphere. Dining at Puente Romano is always a luxurious experience whether you chose light and refreshing dishes and drinks at Bar La Piscina, a relaxing meal in the elegant Caf? El Puente or you prefer to dine at the deluxe ? la carte Italian cuisine restaurant of Roberto Ristorante, considered the coast's best.

Puerto Ban?s is located just three kilometres from the hotel and in the evenings it becomes one of the area's most attractive night hot spots offering a wide range of bars, restaurants, outdoor caf?s and discotheques fill with internationally famous faces from all walks of life. Some of the world's most outstanding names in fashion have a boutique here, bustling with life and sales until 2 in the morning and adding their glamour to this already spectacular destination.
