Review
Perfectly blending in with the undulating landscape of Andaluc?a, the Hotel Montecastillo towers like a palace within a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, one of Europe's best, and home of Volvo Masters Championship since 1997. The Montecastillo's beautiful location, with Seville only one hour away and Jerez 10 minutes, offers easy access to a large number of leisure activities. The famous city of Jerez is renowned for its sherry and brandy bodegas, the largest being the one at Gonzales Byass - Calle Manuel Maria Gonzales - complete with dome designed by Gustav Eiffel. Every Thursday the Royal School of Equestrian Art put on a spectacular equestrian horse ?ballet' show and at the Museo de Arte Flamenco, you can discover the history of the evocative rhythms of song, dance and guitar, and then see the real thing in small clubs along the Barrio de Santiago. At the Hotel Montecastillo, all 121 rooms and suites are luxuriously equipped and guests enjoy a high level of personalized service. There are 20 villas next to the Hotel all with a lounge, small kitchen and terrace or garden. The interior of the hotel is decorated in true Andaluc?an style with tiled floors, wrought iron and arches and the rooms are tastefully decorated in the most traditional Andaluc?an d?cor, with a touch of elegance and simplicity, in total harmony with the surroundings. The recently opened spa at the hotel features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and a steam room.

During your visit to this historical region, you can appreciate the rich architecture and history of the area along with the famous cuisine. In the town of Jerez, only 10 minutes away, there is a wide variety of typical 'tapas bars', to enjoy. El Castillo bar serves a wonderful variety of tapas or if you prefer something more traditional of the region, El Lagar specialises in Andaluc?an cuisine. The nineteenth century castle located on the grounds accommodates the caddie master, Pro Shop, meeting and banqueting rooms. Facilities include two football pitches, a tennis court, a multipurpose court, four paddle tennis courts, a fitness centre. An equestrian centre nearby adds to the wide choice of attractions.

Exciting new developments last year were marked by the opening of the Montecastillo Conference Hotel, which increased the guest lodgings by 49 rooms, 18 villas and additional conference rooms.
