Details
Considered as one of the best courses in Europe the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla (Royal Golf Club of Seville) was designed by 1999 by US Masters Champion, José María Olazábal, and was opened in 1992. Located 3Km from Seville, this course has become very popular for its vast well distributed layout that spans over 61 hectares and is decorated with over 10,000 trees.
A typical Olazabal design, the course has wide fairways, large greens, gentle slopes and many bunkers that make precision play a must. The fairways wind through water hazards and numerous bunkers, making this a simple yet challenging course depending on how the player chooses to approach the game. The quality and mix of the grasses is superb as the fairways are sown with Bermuda 419 grass, the undulating greens with Penncross Bentgrass and the spectacular bunkers are finished with silica sand. The strategic placement of the course's four lakes along with the bunkers that vary in form and dimension distributed around the entire course, make the game more demanding as far as precision is concerned but at the same time they provide a very pleasant microclimate to play in. Both par fours are the most difficult on the course and particularly beautiful is the par three 3rd, with its green completely surrounded by water.
The popular Real Club de Golf de Sevilla offers unbeatable sports facilities including tennis and squash courts, 4 swimming pools a fitness centre, a restaurant and a hotel. The course has an impressive driving range sown with Bermuda 419 grass, a Pro shop, carts, trolleys and club rental. The ample putting and chipping green are next to the driving range with a similar incline to the course's greens. The Casa Club (clubhouse), the Club Deportivo (sport's club), and the Club Infantil (children's club) complete the Real Club de Golf de Seville's sports and social facilities, making it an ideal setting to enjoy family leisure time a few kilometres from the centre of Seville.
Location
Real Club de Golf Sevilla is located southeast of Seville. Take the SE-30 ring road, turn off onto the Seville-Utrera road and continue for about 3Km following the signs for the golf course.
