Details
The Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, founded in 1969 is located in the heart of Nueva Andalucía, in a place called "The Golf Valley". The course was designed by one of the world's greatest golf designers, Robert Trent Jones and it has hosted the World Cup on two occasions, the Spanish Open four times two Nation's Cups, one Mediterranean Open and two Senior's Spanish Opens.
Las Brisas includes numerous water obstacles: there are ten artificial lakes fed by two streams. Las Brisas features raised greens and numerous strategically placed sand traps. Water comes into play on 12 of its 18 holes. The three opening holes require particular concentration but, not being overly difficult, are a deceptive introduction to the rest. The outcome is a round which requires a precision game of golf. Apart from playing host to some of the best golfers in the World, Las Brisas has been visited by numerous personalities and celebrities and the relationship between the Spanish Royal Family and Las Brisas is particularly noteworthy. On the May 23rd 1995 H.M. the King, Don Juan Carlos I, granted Las Brisas the right to use the Royal prefix in recognition of its brilliant past and promising future.
The Clubhouse now offers extended cafeteria service, additional parking, the use of changing rooms, lockers, a sauna and Jacuzzi. Course facilities include buggy, club and caddie rental, a Pro Shop, a driving range and lessons for individuals or groups.
