Ballyliffin always had the quality golf courses but now it has an accommodation option to match! The Lodge itself only opened its doors in December 2005, but you would never think it. The entire experience from the welcome at front desk, the furnishings, service and atmosphere; creates the feeling that the Ballyliffin Lodge has been a local fixture for quite some time.
The ground floor of the hotel is occupied by the opulent reception area, pub, restaurant, lounge and function suites. The reception greets you extravagantly, chandeliers drip with crystals, feet literally sink into the thickest carpets and a very warm welcome awaits. To the left, a lounge with roaring fire, cosy corners of leather sofas and a laid back atmosphere sit comfortably overlooking the Inishowen coastline. The room extends into a huge function suite, perfect for special occasions. On the other side of the reception, the restaurant and pub buzz with a different mood, while the basement houses the spa and the first and second floors are home to the forty bedrooms.
The Ballyliffin Lodge is a welcome facility to the area that contains two must play courses at Ballyliffin, whether it be the Old or the Glashedy course the Lodge & Spa is the perfect place to base yourself and unwind after a day's activity on the course.
