| Beech Hill Country House |
32 Ardmore Road, Co. Derry, Ireland
Description:
Beech Hill Country House is an elegant four star country house hotel located in beautiful landscaped grounds, just 2 miles from the bustling heart of Derry City. The house itself is quite unique. It was built in 1729 by Captain Thomas Skipton and remained in the family for many generations. They were among the leading scholars, merchants and adventures of their age and their glorious past has left a clear mark on the present house. Throughout the years, the building has been modified with the addition of new wings and the wonderfully distinctive porch, but is has retained all of its rich original character.
The country house charm extends to the 27 delightful and comfortable bedrooms, each of which is tastefully furnished to the highest standards. Beech Hill's Ardmore Restaurant is locally and internationally renowned for its breathtaking cuisine and superb service. A past recipient of the National Tourism Endeavour Award, the Ardmore Restaurant is proud to hold one Red Rosette. After a days golfing, the Gallery Lounge is the ideal venue to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine or a pint of Guinness, while reviewing the day's activities by the fire or sharing in some fun with the locals. For those seeking a quiet, family run place to stay look no further than Beech Hill Country House.
