Golf in Lisbon Portugal“Ribagolfe” – Lisbon – Portugal This golfing complex consists of two courses, Ribagolfe I and Ribagolfe II, each an 18-hole par 72, located approximately 30 minutes from Lisbon city centre. Both courses are set within a forest of cork oak trees and the design makes full use of the sweeping undulations of the site, providing many spectacular golf holes across valleys and lakes. Ribagolfe 1 Golf Course – Blue CourseRibagolfe 1 has been created as a potential tournament venue and provides a fresh challenge to even the most experienced golfer. The holes are laid out over undulating ground with plenty of water hazards and bunkers. Three of the Par 5's have an element of risk for golfers attempting to find the green in two shots. In particular the 12th hole requires a shot played over a lake to find the green.Ribagolfe 11 Golf Course – Green CourseThe Ribagolfe 11 Green Course is unlike Ribagolfe 1 as it is mainly designed as a golf course for the members, although visitors are allowed to play. The holes are laid out over undulating ground with sufficient water hazards and bunkers to challenge most golfers. The fairways are decorated with the typical cork trees famous to the Alentejo region.Quinta da Marinha - Estoril Coast – Portugal Located on the famous Estoril Coast, 25 km from Lisbon, the Quinta da Marinha Golf Course was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. and is set in a private estate of 110 hectares, wooded with pine trees. The Golf Course was the 1988 host of the Quinta da Marinha Ladies Masters (European Professional's Women's Circuit) and in 2002 was host to the Estoril Open (PGA Tour Event). There is a tendency when playing on Portuguese courses that the par-3 holes often prove to be the most challenging and Quinta da Marinha is no exception. The fifth hole is a good example with several protective bunkers surrounding an elevated green. The fourteenth is another hole which is played over a steep bank that becomes an interesting challenge for a choice of club and style of stroke. Oitavos Dunes Golf Course – Lisbon – Portugal![]() Located in the Natural Park situated between Cascais and the hills of Sintra, Oitavos Golf Course has been designed to take advantage of its environment and the sea views through the pine wood forest surrounding the holes.
