The event itself was fantastic with an extraordinary atmosphere especially around the 17th hole which is a natural amphitheatre and therefore perfect for the Ryder Cup. In fact that was the first time I laid eyes on a certain Mr Tiger Woods as he was partaking in his first Ryder Cup. There was a mix of Americans and Europeans on that trip which made for some good natured banter and thankfully for our sake Europe managed to win out by a solitary point”.
